Vena Solutions, a leader in Microsoft-native financial and operational planning, today announced the general availability of Vena Financial Consolidation, an advanced Excel-native solution built for complex multi-entity consolidation. It gives finance teams a purpose-built consolidation engine for governed close and audit-ready reporting, with the option to connect consolidated actuals directly to planning, reporting and decisioning within Vena.
With this launch, Vena now offers advanced financial consolidation as a standalone solution for organizations managing complex close requirements, while also advancing its vision for Microsoft-native Orchestrated Planning, Decisioning and Close. Organizations can adopt Vena Financial Consolidation independently or connect it to planning and reporting within Vena, reducing the manual handoffs, reconciliation work and fragmented tools that can slow the path from financial close to business decision.
Vena Financial Consolidation builds on Vena’s established Excel-native close and consolidation capabilities with an advanced solution purpose-built for organizations managing increasingly complex multi-entity structures, sophisticated ownership models, multiple currencies and demanding reporting requirements.
Vena’s 2026 FP&A Impact Report found that 90% of finance professionals surveyed still use Microsoft Excel for modeling and reporting. That persistence reflects more than familiarity. Excel remains where many finance professionals think, analyze and validate results. The problem emerges when increasing organizational complexity forces teams to surround those workflows with manual consolidation, fragmented systems and uncontrolled handoffs.
Vena Financial Consolidation preserves the native Excel experience while adding the advanced consolidation engine, automation, governance and auditability required to manage complex financial structures at scale.
“Finance and accounting teams know Excel and value its flexibility, familiarity and power. The challenge is making that experience work at the scale and complexity of today’s close,” said Andrew Stanbridge, Senior Vice President of Product at Vena. “Vena Financial Consolidation gives teams an advanced, standalone consolidation solution built for that complexity with the option to connect close to planning, reporting and the decisions that follow in the same Vena environment. That gives Finance more time to understand the numbers, trust the outcome and act on what they learn.”
From Fragmented Close to Governed Financial Performance
First unveiled at Excelerate Finance Fest 2026, Vena Financial Consolidation extends Vena’s established close capabilities with a standalone solution designed for organizations managing more complex consolidation requirements.
The solution automates and governs complex consolidation processes including intercompany matching and eliminations, multi-currency translation, ownership and equity structures and top-side adjustments. Workflow, versioning, period locking, entity-level security, audit history and native data provenance provide a traceable record of how consolidated results were produced.
Audit readiness becomes even more important as finance teams introduce greater automation and AI into processes tied to financial reporting. Faster analysis alone cannot make a financial result trustworthy. Finance and accounting teams need to understand where the data came from, which rules were applied, what changed, who approved it and how the final number was produced.
Vena AI applies trusted financial data and consolidation-specific context to help finance teams surface variances, identify breaks, explain changes and generate executive-ready insights within a governed environment. Future Vena Omega capabilities, strengthened by technology and expertise from Vena’s recent acquisition of Morpheo AI, are expected to add cumulative business context over time, enabling increasingly relevant AI experiences across close, reporting, planning and decision-making.
One Financial System From Actuals to Action
Many finance teams still run consolidation as a separate process or point solution, creating additional reconciliation between actuals, forecasts, plans and management reporting.
Vena gives organizations the option to connect consolidation, planning and reporting within the same governed Excel-native environment. This creates greater continuity across actuals, plan and forecast, reduces manual handoffs and gives finance teams a more consistent foundation for understanding performance and deciding what to do next.
For organizations that choose a connected approach, keeping consolidation, planning and reporting within Vena advances the broader vision for Orchestrated Planning, Decisioning and Close by linking the financial processes that explain what happened with the planning and decision workflows that determine what happens next.
Organizations are already using Vena to manage significant multi-entity complexity while improving efficiency across planning, reporting and financial close. OEG uses Vena to consolidate financial results across more than 90 entities and 19 currencies, while customers including Capstone Infrastructure and Tanger Outlets have cut month-end close times by as much as 50%.
“As OEG has grown, we needed a more scalable way to manage financial consolidation,” said Claire Kerr, FP&A manager at OEG. “Vena has helped us replace a highly manual process with a more consistent and structured approach, giving our team greater confidence in the numbers and making it easier to deliver trusted financial reporting as the business continues to scale.”
Expanding Vena Across the Office of Finance
With Vena Financial Consolidation now generally available, Vena expands its role across the Office of Finance, giving organizations a path to consolidate, plan, report and increasingly apply AI within the same governed environment.
For finance teams already operating in Microsoft, that means greater continuity from close to decision while preserving the Excel experience they know and extending the governance, automation and intelligence required as the business grows more complex.
Vena Financial Consolidation is now generally available.
