Williams advances from client support to project leadership while earning Project Management Professional certification
HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, August 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Safety Vision today announced the promotion of Lindsey Williams to project manager following her successful completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, marking an important milestone in her continued growth with the company.
Williams has progressed through several roles at Safety Vision, beginning in client support before transitioning to project coordinator and now project manager. Her experience working directly with customers, internal teams and field personnel has provided her with a broad understanding of the coordination required to successfully deliver complex customer projects.
“Each role has given me a different perspective on the business,” Williams said. “Client support taught me how to communicate with customers, troubleshoot problems and understand their needs. Moving into project coordination allowed me to take that customer experience and apply it to managing schedules, installations, internal teams and larger projects.”
In her previous role as project coordinator, Williams assumed increasing responsibility for projects requiring coordination among customers, technicians, sales, operations, equipment and scheduling. She also became responsible for navigating unexpected challenges while maintaining customer relationships and keeping projects moving toward completion.
“I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown in the role and the level of responsibility I’ve been trusted with,” Williams said. “Having experience on both the customer service and project sides of the business has given me a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to successfully manage a project from start to finish.”
Alongside her expanding responsibilities, Williams pursued her PMP certification to complement her hands-on project management experience with additional professional education and credentials.
Preparing for the certification required months of study while balancing her responsibilities at Safety Vision and her personal commitments.
“There were countless days when I would finish work and go straight into studying, and many weekends were spent preparing for the exam,” Williams said. “Even on vacation, I made time to study. I kept reminding myself why I started and what earning my PMP would mean for my career. All the long nights and weekends made passing the exam that much more rewarding.”
Williams said earning the certification at the same time as her promotion makes the achievement especially meaningful.
“This means a lot to me because it represents the work I’ve put in and the growth I’ve had within Safety Vision,” Williams said. “I’m proud that I was able to work my way into this position, and earning my PMP at the same time makes it feel like a major milestone in my career.”
In her new role, Williams will take greater ownership of larger and more complex projects while continuing to strengthen coordination among customers and Safety Vision teams. She said she is also looking forward to continuing to develop as a leader.
For employees interested in advancing their own careers, Williams encourages a willingness to accept challenges before feeling completely prepared.
“Don’t be afraid to ask for more responsibility or step outside of what’s comfortable,” Williams said. “Ask questions, learn from the people around you and take advantage of opportunities when they come up. You don’t have to know everything before you take the next step — you just have to be willing to learn.”
