Prolink, a premier workforce solutions firm, has been selected as a new member organization of the Nurses on Boards Coalition (NOBC), a national coalition that works to improve the health of communities by increasing nurses’ influence on boards and other leadership roles. NOBC set a goal of having 30,000 board seats filled by nurses by 2035. The coalition serves more than 30,000 nurses, along with strategic partners, sponsors, and member organizations with education, placement assistance, mentoring, and developing evidence of the impact of nurses serving on boards.

Through its NOBC membership, Prolink aims to expand leadership and governance opportunities for nurses and bring nurses’ unique expertise to decisions shaping healthcare at the local, state, and national levels.

“Nurses have important insights to bring to healthcare leadership, and we’re pleased to support the Nurses on Boards Coalition in elevating their voice,” said Vanessa Janus, Chief Workforce Solutions Officer at Prolink. “Nurses bring a perspective grounded in direct experience with patients, healthcare teams, and the systems that support them. Creating more opportunities for nurses to have a seat at the leadership table can help inform decisions that lead to stronger healthcare outcomes.”

As part of its membership, Prolink will be represented by Vanessa Janus as its primary organizational representative, with Natalie Jones, Senior Vice President of Clinical Practice & Innovation at Prolink, serving as the alternate representative. Together, they will bring Prolink’s workforce and clinical expertise to the coalition’s broader efforts.

“We are beyond delighted to welcome Prolink to the board as a new member organization,” said Dr. Cole Edmonson, CEO of the Nurses on Boards Coalition. “Organizations like Prolink play an important role in helping nurses pursue opportunities to serve in leadership roles, bringing the nursing perspective to every level of healthcare, from communities to the point of care.”

NOBC member organizations collaborate to advance the coalition’s mission, support nurses pursuing board service, and create opportunities for nurses to contribute their knowledge to boards. Member organizations also have access to resources designed to prepare nurses for board service and leadership development opportunities.
