Workato®, the leading Control and Execution Platform for Enterprise AI, and Lenovo™ today announced their strategic collaboration to support the continued evolution of Lenovo Qira, Lenovo’s Personal Ambient Intelligence, which is actively expanding across Lenovo’s device lineup. Through this collaboration, Workato is helping expand Lenovo Qira’s ability to execute workflows across multiple applications.
Lenovo Qira is Lenovo’s built-in, cross-device personal AI system designed to work seamlessly across compatible Lenovo PCs, tablets, and Motorola smartphones. With this collaboration, Lenovo Qira supports agentic workflows, meaning it can interpret a user request and, where required, ask for approval before using approved connectors to complete the requested action. Lenovo Qira is expanding across select productivity and collaboration apps, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Google Contacts.
As AI evolves from answering questions to taking action, securely orchestrating workflows across connected applications becomes increasingly important. Workato helps enable governed, multi-step execution across connected applications, allowing users to send an email, book a meeting, update a record through natural language. Actions are designed to require appropriate permissions and approvals where applicable, helping Lenovo Qira securely carry out user-requested actions across connected applications.
“We’re truly excited to partner with Lenovo to help expand Lenovo Qira as a personal, ambient, and intelligent assistant across their hundreds of millions of devices,” said Bhaskar Roy, Chief of AI at Workato. “It takes a control and execution plane to reach across every app, device, and user, turn intent into governed action, and do it at production scale. That’s what Workato’s Enterprise MCP delivers, and it’s why Lenovo chose us to help power Lenovo Qira’s cross-app experiences.”
The solution is built around three core principles:
- Connect once, access everything: Sign in once to approved apps and Lenovo Qira can work across compatible Lenovo devices, subject to user permissions and connector availability.
- Asks before acting: When Lenovo Qira takes action on your behalf, whether to send an email or book a meeting, it requests user approval where required.
- Native by design: Workato’s MCP registry is integrated with Lenovo Qira to help enable seamless cross-app experiences, so every action feels like part of the product, never a bolt-on.
This expansion is part of a broader wave of enterprise customers deploying Workato to power their agentic AI products. With a control and execution platform and AI orchestration at its core, Workato enables enterprises and device makers to ship agentic capabilities across any app stack, with enterprise-grade governance, without rebuilding integration infrastructure from scratch.
“Lenovo Qira is our commitment to making AI personal. It is a productivity engine woven into every device our customers use,” said Dan Dery, Vice President of AI Ecosystem, Lenovo. “With Workato, we are expanding Lenovo Qira with the control, action, and trust needed to deliver seamless experiences across tools and platforms, without asking users to stitch things together themselves.”
The Workato-powered Lenovo Qira experience is already available to eligible Lenovo Qira users on compatible devices. To learn more about Workato’s Control and Execution Platform and Enterprise MCP capabilities, visit Workato.com.
